Spelling: On Mondays, your child will receive a list of the spelling words and various ways to practice them for the test on Friday.

Reading: Weekly, your child will receive black and white paper books that he/she should be able to read to you fairly easily. These books are to be read when sent home. We will have a reading test each Friday based on the story of the week. Please practice the words of the week with your child to prepare for this test. It is very important that you read to your child on a regular basis as well.

Math: Occasionally, your child will receive Math homework. It will typically be a worksheet. Please make sure that your child completes it.

Book Reports:

I will begin to pass out book report assignments starting in September. Your child will be responsible for choosing a book and completing the simple sheet about the book and returning it Friday.

Other subject areas: Periodically, we will complete various projects that will require homework. The information will be provided for you at that time.
