Fires can start in forests, deserts, or just about anywhere.

But, for a fire to burn, three things are needed: Heat, Oxygen, and Fuel.

If one of these things is taken away, the fire dies out.

Oxygen is the air all around us.

Fuel can be wood, paper, dried leaves or many other materials.

Heat can be a burning cigarette, a campfire that hasn’t been put out, or lightning.  These can start a fire.

Fires are dangerous!
