Last Saturday was MPE Beautification day and what a great day it turned out to be. We had close to 70 volunteers from Hands On Atlanta (HOA) who spent the day with our own Mustang families. I need to especially thank our PTA Chair for this project, Cathy Stavres. She had put in countless hours prior to this day preparing, organizing, and worrying about the weather. I can only imagine the logistics involved. Everything from researching what needed to be done to a rental truck to hold the tools from HOA to mapping out the grounds to identify each separate project for our volunteers. Oh yes, and she had to have a backup rainy day plan as well. Thanks to Cathy and all our volunteers, the day turned out to be a huge success. What a difference a day makes! (Okay, what a difference a day and outstanding planning makes!) Today is one more example of why Mountain Park stands head and shoulders above the rest.
